Would like to add Braille font to Microsoft Word font list

Just go to Control panel and open fonts. Drag the braille file to that icon. It installs very nicely.

I don't think the numbers are correct.

I am glad to see the free Braille font being offered. The letters come out nicely, but numbers do not work well. Can this be fixed? Also, is there only grade 1 available, or has someone also done a grade 2 Braille font with contractions?

I wanted to use this font during our five senses unit in kindergarten. We talked about how our eyes work, and what it is called when people's eyes cannot see. We learned about Helen Keller, seeing eye dogs, and showed them a book written with words and with braille. We wanted to make a braille name book. Thanks for the font. I printed out each child's name and then put dots of glue on the dots to make them raised.

Thank you so much for this.....!

For the numbers, the "1" key is actually the "number" symbol. Simply type "1" and then "a" and you will have the number 1 that you wish for, the rest are pretty close. Be sure to type the "1" key before the first 10 letters of the alphabet and you don't even need any of the number keys on your keyboard, save for "1" it's the only number key that is necessary. Hope that this helps.

Why would someone put a WRONG font on the net so that people make mistakes?

Any idea how to show the capital sign?
Csimpson ( 2/9/2011 11:37:22 AM )
Capital sign is just 6, followed by the letter.

Just had to comment. Lizzi, of all things, why did you thank MICROSOFT? That's just absurd. Where in the world did you find any indication whatsoever, that this font was provided by MICROSOFT? @somerandom guy No, the numbers are not wrong. Can you figure out where YOU are wrong? Yes, no, yes?! @Lucille Warwick That's great. And? Hello? Lucille, hi! You there? Could you bring forward your desire in a slightly more comprehensive manner? Sorry for being sarcastic, but zombies just piss me off.

My niece has brain cancer. She is 80% blind and we dont know if she will keep that 20% long. There is nothing we can do for the tumor beause if removed we could lose her, the doctors dont think she will make it to her 20's, and the tumor is on the gland that produces hormones. So, she is having hormone problems. The school was helping with her reading braille, but i would like to get her more help. Maybe evena computer that is just braille.. God Bless you all for listening, Tera
